Seven Razzie nods for Myers' Guru

Mike Myers' comedy flop The Love Guru has been shortlisted for seven Golden Raspberries, the mock awards given to the worst movies of the year.

Myers is also cited for his acting in the film, as are his co-stars Jessica Alba, Sir Ben Kingsley and Celebrity Big Brother housemate Verne Troyer.

Socialite Paris Hilton will be up for three prizes at this year's ceremony, held one day before the Oscars.

This year's Oscar nominees will be announced on Thursday at 1330 GMT.

Lindsay Lohan and Eddie Murphy were the main recipients at last year's Razzies, each winning three of the event's gold spray-painted, deliberately tacky trophies.

The Love Guru's competition for the worst picture prize includes M Night Shyamalan's ecological thriller The Happening and Paris Hilton's farce The Hottie and the Nottie.

The hotel heiress gets two nominations for her work in the film, with another coming for her supporting role in the bizarrely-titled Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Cameron Diaz, Mark Wahlberg and Al Pacino are among the other stars singled out, with Murphy getting another two nominations this year for his work in Meet Dave.

The fourth Indiana Jones movie, meanwhile, is one of six titles shortlisted for the worst prequel, remake, rip-off or sequel award.

Founded by copywriter and publicist John Wilson, the Golden Raspberries have been pouring scorn on Hollywood's great and good since 1981.

Nominees were determined by ballots sent to 687 voters in 45 US states and 19 other countries.
