Comic Williams cancels concerts
Williams will resume his US comedy tour next week |
Comedian Robin Williams has called off four stand-up concerts in Florida after experiencing shortness of breath.
According to a press release, doctors are evaluating his condition and have recommended a week of rest.
Williams had been scheduled to perform in the Floridian towns of Hollywood, Orlando and Tampa. The cancelled shows will all be rescheduled.
The 57-year-old actor will continue his 80-city tour on Monday in Jacksonville, also in Florida.
His Weapons of Self Destruction show arrives on Broadway in April.
According to his representatives, tickets for his New York dates - his first in the city since 2002 - sold out in under 10 minutes.
Williams is best known for his role in classic TV sitcom Mork and Mindy and for his Oscar-winning performance in Good Will Hunting.
He will be seen in cinemas later this year reprising his role as President Teddy Roosevelt in Night at the Museum sequel Battle of the Smithsonian.
