Brother details actor's stabbing
Jamie Knox said his brother was "upbeat" before the attack |
The younger brother of a murdered teenage actor has described the final moments before his sibling was stabbed to death outside a bar.
Rob Knox, 18, who had a part in the latest Harry Potter film, was stabbed five times outside the Metro Bar, in Sidcup, south-east London last year.
Jamie Knox, 17, said his brother was "upbeat", having just finished work on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
The alleged attacker, Karl Bishop, 21, of Sidcup, denies murder.
Mr Bishop also denies five charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to five other youths.
'Going mad'
Jamie Knox said that his brother confronted Mr Bishop after a row over threats which had been made earlier in the evening.
Recounting the confrontation, he said that his brother was "shouting" and "going mad".
This was because Mr Bishop had allegedly threatened Jamie with a knife, the Old Bailey jury heard.
Jamie then saw his brother trying to rugby tackle Mr Bishop.
He said: "He [Mr Knox] was slumped into him, had one of the defendant's arms by his side, he had his arms around his waist and his head pressed against his chest to one side."
Describing his brother, Jamie said he was "very protective" and "always in a happy mood".
