Ross to present Bafta film gala
Ross pulled out of hosting last month's British Comedy Awards |
Jonathan Ross is to present the Bafta Film Awards next month.
The presenter told subscribers to his page on networking website Twitter that he is to host the show on 8 February.
He asked those following his page to "suggest an improbable word that I have to slip into the Baftas when I host them in February".
Ross's chat show returns to BBC One next week following his three-month suspension over his role in the Radio 2 phone calls row.
Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, Stephen Fry and comedian Lee Evans are all confirmed to appear on the programme on 23 January.
Ross, who was suspended in October 2008, has gained over 10,000 subscribers to his Twitter updates since he began posting to the website in December.
Twitter allows its users to share text message-length updates or to send short messages to each other.
On Wednesday morning, Ross posted another message saying: "Thanks for Bafta suggestions. Will whittle them down to a top three then slip one in."
The presenter stepped down from presenting the 2008 British Comedy Awards in the wake of the lewd phone calls made to Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs on Russell Brand's Radio 2 show.
This year's Bafta nominations will be announced by actresses Gemma Arterton and Hayley Atwell on Thursday 15 January.
